BIOGRAFÍA

Carlos Sáez (Valencia, 1988) es un artista multidisciplinar especializado en medios digitales. Su principal objeto de estudio es la relación entre el ser humano y la tecnología, que tiende a desarrollar en su obra alzando la propia estética de la maquinaria y su programación.

En su línea “Hardware Fetish”, el artista rinde tributo al aparato tecnológico abandonado, especialmente a la pantalla. En este ámbito crea piezas a mitad camino entre la máquina y la reliquia en las que honra el espacio negativo que deja el “no-fluido” de información. Uno de los conceptos más presentes en su trabajo es el de la “libertad morfológica” propuesto en la filosofía de la extropía. Para ello se sirve de diferentes medios como la ilustración, vídeo, o 3D, con los que plasma el deseo del ser humano por modificar su apariencia natural en entornos virtuales.

En 2012 Carlos idea Cloaque.org, un proyecto web curatorial basado en el concepto de “cadaver exquisito” en el que participan artistas digitales de todo el mundo de forma colaborativa.
